Information

Here, examinations and treatments are performed for patients where surgical intervention is anticipated, such as:

• Esophageal disease, reflux issues (heartburn, regurgitation of food back into the esophagus)
• Hiatal hernia (diaphragmatic hernia)
  

For patients, we will perform or arrange for the necessary additional examinations and establish further treatment procedures. If surgical intervention is indicated, we carry it out in our one-day surgery department.

For diseases where surgical intervention is not likely, we refer patients to subsequent specialized care at the internal gastroenterology department.
